The Women’s Service League of Hampshire is dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

Our Committees include:

Membership Committee:

Welcomes new members, creates and maintains club directory and responsible for new membership orientation.  An “invitation only” Fall Fondue is scheduled for October 2007 to introduce new members to the organization.

Ways and Means Committee:

Fundraising is the goal of this committee.  Members research various fundraisers and determine how to implement them.  Past fundraisers included the successful Celebrity Bartending Event and Santa Comes to Hampshire Bake Sale.

Philanthropy Committee:

Organize drives for food, coats, pajamas, etc.  Determine worthy organizations to receive collections.  Past organizations that have benefited from the League’s efforts included the Elgin Crisis Center and Burlington/Hampshire Food Pantry.

A quote from the Food Pantry on our most recent drive “We appreciate all the time and work you gave towards helping the Food Pantry.  This certainly helped us to restock our food shelves, especially since food donations always run slow during the summer.”

Scholarship Committee:

Responsible for creating scholarship requirements and form of application.  The 2007/2008 WSL Scholarship will be awarded to a Hampshire High School senior in the amount of $3,000.
