Each year, the WSL supports the Burlington/Hampshire Food Pantry with monetary donations and by volunteering to help fill the shelves at least once per year.
Our WSL organizes an annual winter coat drive by rallying local businesses and organizations to serve as collection points for residents to drop off gently used coats, hats, mittens and boots for needy families. The WSL makes every effort to see that local families receive these needed items first, with the surplus donated to the Elgin Crisis Center. We believe everyone deserves a warm coat during the harsh winter months.
The WSL seeks to foster good will at Christmas time by adopting needy families and filling their Christmas wish lists for the season.
